Who we are and what we do

Arion Counselling and Psychotherapy is a confidential counselling and therapy service for children and young people aged between 10 and 25 years of age, and adults. 


Devi is a counsellor and equine assisted psychotherapist trained to Post Graduate Diploma level. 

She qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and then went onto complete a post graduate qualification in Counselling Children and Young People with the University of Northampton. She is also a qualified LEAP Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist.


Devi is an experienced practitioner working with a broad range of clients. She has extensive experience of working with children, adolescents and adults facing a wide range of emotional difficulties, and in utilising bespoke therapeutic interventions for individuals. 


Devi has worked for the past seven years as a counsellor at primary and secondary schools in the local area, alongside her private practice with adults, and therefore has a breadth of experience of working with people from a variety of backgrounds. 


Devi provides a professional, safe and confidential space for children, young people and adults to explore a range of issues, including but not limited to:

family issues

gender/sexuality exploration 

relationships

domestic violence

trauma

depression 

self-esteem issues

Devi strongly believes in collaborative therapy work and building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships that are secure and mutually respectful. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, which allows her to flexibly to meet the individual needs of each client and she can adapt her approach accordingly. 


Devi is able to utilise a range of different therapeutic approaches including play-based, creative and equine-facilitated interventions alongside more traditional talking therapies including psychotherapy, person-centred and CBT.


Devi is a Registered Member of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP 657356) and adheres to the BACP code of ethics. She has monthly supervision and undertakes regular CPD to continuously improve her practice.
